According to Iranian news agencies, Multicafé is the sole coffee producer in Iran.

Coffee is one of the world’s most important and widely consumed beverages. It is a beverage with a different history in every culture, ethnicity, and nation, and with a different evolution in consumption. According to a 2017 report by the Euromonitor Institute, coffee consumption in Iran has experienced a significant increase over the past few years. Although tea is the most popular hot beverage in Iran, the number of individuals who have added coffee to their daily diet has risen since 2016. Youth have a greater propensity for coffee than other age groups. The rise in popularity of coffee consumption in Iran and the rising slope of consumption have attracted the interest of numerous businesses. However, perhaps few people are aware that Iran is one of the world’s coffee producers and that Multicafé, Iran’s sole producer of instant coffee from green coffee beans, is also an exporter of coffee products.

Seyed Reza Hosseini, the CEO of Multicafé Group, commented on the company’s more than a decade of involvement in the coffee industry, stating, “As the sole coffee producer in Iran, we have been conducting all production processes at the Multicafé factory in Mashhad for more than a decade. Along this path, we have always endeavored to keep our experts’ knowledge up-to-date and become a knowledge repository for the production of instant coffee in Iran. We have defined our product portfolio by taking into account industry standards and consumer preferences. Thus, after years of hard work and research in this industry, we have been able to capture a substantial portion of the Iranian coffee market. Currently, Multicafé supplies the majority of Iran’s bulk coffee market. Due to the high quality of our products, we have been able to supply coffee to many well-known producers of food products in the country, thereby aiding the production cycle. Unlike other players in Iran’s coffee industry, Multicafé has designed its production line from the beginning so that the entire coffee production process is carried out in-house, from roasting to grinding, extracting, powder producing, granulating, and packaging. Thanks to its advanced production line and machinery, it has become the only instant coffee manufacturer in Iran. In the meantime, the majority of players in this industry in Iran perform only the packaging stage and import fully processed coffee from abroad.”

Dr. Amir Mehdi Moradi, Secretary of the Khorasan Razavi Province Industry Managers Association, recently noted the significance of production and entrepreneurship in the current economic climate, “The Multicafé group can be presented as a model for various industries in the province and nationwide.  This group has not only contributed to Iran’s economic cycle but has also achieved a prominent position in an industry that is less well-known in our country. This is due to its commitment to continuous improvement and the dissemination of world-class expertise to the domestic workforce. Today, we are proud and pleased that this collection exports instant coffee made in Iran to over 15 countries, including Poland, Greece, Turkey, Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates, Russia, and Armenia, among others.”
