An advanced sensory and cognitive evaluation laboratory of foods was opened on Sunday, May 12, 2019, at the Faculty of Agriculture of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, in the presence of the esteemed CEO of Part Sazan Coffee Industries, Mr. Hosseini, and the Vice-Chancellor for Research of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Dr. Bahrami.
An advanced sensory and cognitive evaluation laboratory of foods was opened on Sunday, May 12, 2019, at the Faculty of Agriculture of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, in the presence of the esteemed CEO of Part Sazan Coffee Industries, Mr. Hosseini, and the Vice-Chancellor for Research of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Dr. Bahrami.
The laboratory, located in the Food Industry R&D Center of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, has been designed and equipped by Part Sazan Coffee Industries Co. and has the capacity to conduct tests on the taste, texture, color, and other characteristics of food products. The results can significantly improve the marketability of food products. Every effort was made to use the most cutting-edge equipment and procedures in building and furnishing this laboratory. In this regard, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Part Sazan Coffee Industries and Ferdowsi University for sustained collaboration.
Following the Sensory Evaluation Center visit, the first roasting research center, called Multicafé, was established at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad’s Faculty of Agriculture to test every product. Multicafé is outfitted with a roasting machine and all amenities of a coffee shop. Using Multicafé’s products and facilities, this coffee shop was designed to examine and communicate directly with customers.
